The beef capital of Australia receives a visit from a group a rent-dodging bohemians, as Opera Queensland presents La bohème.
Puccini Project makes its fifth stop in Rockhampton, as one of the eight regional communities involved in a world-first project that will give hundreds of everyday people the opportunity to perform in the chorus of a brand new productions of La bohème.
Local talent will be uncovered as 36 adults and 12 children from the community will sing and act alongside OperaQ’s principal artists and Queensland Symphony Orchestra musicians in a professionally staged opera.
Auditions for Rockhampton adults and children to become a part of Project Puccini will be held on 11-13 April. La bohème will be performed at the Pilbeam Theatre on the 23rd of August.
